ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — Ithaca is launching a new housing dashboard

City officials say the virtual housing development data includes an overview of current housing available, plus recent and future development.

“The Department has always been a great repository for development data. Now we have the ability to make our vision of a more publicly accessible, easy-to-use dashboard a reality,” Planning Director Lisa Nicholas said.

“This dashboard highlights the enormous progress the City has made toward addressing our housing and affordability crisis,” Mayor Robert Cantelmo said. “The public can now see that our policies are working and that comprehensive housing reform is essential to building and sustaining an Ithaca for everyone.”

Officials added the dashboard is still in the pilot stage, with more details to be added. “We are calling this a pilot because we anticipate updating the dashboard in the first few months in response to user input.” Sam Quinn-Jacobs, a city planner and creator of the dashboard explained.
