Ithaca’s zoning code getting first overhaul since 1975

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — The city of Ithaca is overhauling its zoning code. 

Senior Planner Maura Baldiga tells 607 News Now comprehensive changes are decades in the making in an initiative called Zone Ithaca.

As part of the process, a public survey is now available.

Baldiga says the project, which recently began, will likely take two years to complete. The final form would require approval from Ithaca’s Common Council.
