FLORHAM PARK, NJ (607NewsNow) — Training camp for the Jets is underway.

Players arrived Tuesday at the team’s facility in New Jersey. During a press conference, quarterback Geno Smith said the franchise is moving in the right direction.

“There’s a lot of things to be positive about, you know, as a Jet fan, and as a player,” Smith told reporters.

Smith, who’s returning for his second act with the Jets, said the team is full of “hardworking men” and “guys who love the game.”

New York’s first preseason game will take place Aug. 14 against Tampa Bay.
