DRYDEN, NY (607NewsNow) – A juvenile is facing charges in Tompkins County.

On March 5, deputies were called to the William George Agency (WGA) in Dryden around 9 p.m. for a staff member who had allegedly been struck in the head.

When they arrived, they found a 26-year-old staff member bleeding from the head and learned that three juvenile residents, one male and two female, had left the WGA campus. A short time later, the three juveniles were located walking on Fall Creek Road. The two females were turned over to WGA staff without incident.

The male was charged with felony assault and fourth-degree misdemeanor criminal possession of a weapon. He was issued an appearance ticket and released to WGA staff.

The victim was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
