ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – Assemblymember Anna Kelles is seeking reelection.

The Trumansburg-native began petitioning earlier this week and held an official campaign launch party on March 3 in Ithaca.

First elected in 2020, Kelles seeks her fourth term in the 125th District of the State Assembly, which includes Tompkins and Cortland Counties.

Tompkins County Democratic Committee Chair Linda Hoffman was among the guests Tuesday night at the Argos Inn.

“Anna is a devoted and tireless public servant who harnesses the capacity to address the impact of health care, racial justice, childcare, reproductive care, environment, food insecurity, housing, and more across the community,” said Hoffman.

The New York Working Families Party (NYWFP) is endorsing Kelles.

“The Working Families Party has been at the forefront of the fight for affordable housing, universal childcare, healthcare for all, and protecting immigrant communities,” said Kelles. “I’m honored to earn their endorsement and proud to stand alongside a movement fighting for a Working Families Guarantee.”

Kelles is currently the only candidate to announce a run in the 125th District.
