Lansing school district budget includes ‘reductions through attrition,’ official says

LANSING, NY (607NewsNow) — The Lansing Central School District is looking at a challenging budget year. 

Kate Heath, Assistant Superintendent for Business, tells 607 News Now the $40.9 million 2026-27 spending plan proposal includes some staff reductions.

Heath also broke down some numbers in the proposed budget.

The district has scheduled a public budget hearing on Monday, May 11 in the Lansing Middle School auditorium. It’ll start at 7 p.m. Voting to adopt the budget is May 19.
