LANSING, NY (607NewsNow) — A woman from Lansing reported missing on Friday has been found.

State Police say 73-year-old Margaret Schoneman is in good condition.

“Thanks to a member of the public who saw the New York State Police Facebook post indicating she was missing, Ms. Schoneman was spotted walking on the campus of Cornell University,” authorities said in a statement.

According to troopers, Schoneman had last been seen Thursday night at her Auburn Rd. home. A family member “noticed she was missing this morning around 8:00 a.m., and the front door to her residence was unlocked.”

“We sincerely thank the public for the shares and assistance on social media.  Without the community’s help, we would not have been able to locate Ms. Schoneman as quickly,” troopers said.

Correction: A member of the public located Schoneman in Lansing, presumably after the 73-year-old took the bus back to town from Cornell University.
