Marathon man charged in alleged stabbing

NORWICH, NY (CortacaToday) – A Cortland County man faces charges after allegedly stabbing someone during an altercation.

Police reportedly responded to the call in the City of Norwich around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2024. Investigators say Jason Chase, of Marathon, pulled a brass knuckle knife out during the fight and wounded another man in the neck and forearm. The victim is in stable condition at UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital.

Chase is charged with felony assault and misdemeanor criminal possession of a weapon.
