ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — Asteri Ithaca is still deemed unsafe to occupy.

Nearly a week since an order to vacate was issued, Mayor Robert Cantelmo tells 607 News Now some people have stayed behind.

Numerous fire and building code violations were found in the building, which has 181 apartments. Mayor Cantelmo says the building is currently unhabitable.
