Newark Valley man fired gun in Broome County road rage, troopers say

NEWARK VALLEY, NY (607NewsNow) — A Tioga County man is in trouble for an alleged case of road rage. 

State Police say Bradley Scymanski fired shots Wednesday, Apr. 22 at another vehicle on East Main St. in the town of Union.

“An investigation determined that at approximately 2:17 p.m., a road rage incident between a GMC Yukon and a Ford EcoSport near the 2800 block of East Main Street in the town of Union escalated when the operator of the Ford EcoSport discharged a firearm at the GMC Yukon,” according to troopers. “No injuries were reported.”

The 23-year-old from Newark Valley is charged with attempted assault, possession of a weapon, criminal use of a firearm, and reckless endangerment.

The four charges against Scymanski are felonies.
