Newfield man accused of stealing electricity from vacant apartment

NEWFIELD, NY (607NewsNow) – A Newfield man is accused of stealing electricity.

On July 22, State Police arrested Scott Goodrich around 11:46 a.m. on charges of felony burglary and misdemeanor theft of services.

Troopers say the 62-year-old illegally entered a vacant, neighboring apartment on Elmira Road and ran a power cord to his own apartment.

Goodrich was arraigned and released to appear in court at a later date.
