Newfield returning to 1 bus run, superintendent says

NEWFIELD, NY (607NewsNow) — Ahead of the start of the 2026-27 school year, the Newfield Central School District has announced a change.

Superintendent Jesse Harper tells 607 News Now the district is returning to one bus run, instead of the two that’s been in place since the COVID-19 pandemic.

The decision came after a full year of research, Harper said. He added it’ll reduce a strain on families.

Newfield’s school year begins after Labor Day.
