NEWFIELD, NY (607NewsNow) — A Newfield woman is dead after she was hit a car.

Amber Rawn died Thursday, a week after she was struck on Van Kirk Rd. Troopers say 28-year-old Anthony Vandermark did not see the 44-year-old Rawn at 10:30 p.m. on May 7.

A GoFundMe page is trying to raise $30,000 for a funeral and other expenses. The fundraiser organizer says Rawn’s passing is devastating.

“None of this feels real, and the pain of losing Amber is something her family and loved ones are struggling to put into words. Amber was such a bright light in so many lives, and the love surrounding her and her family right now is a true reflection of the impact she had on everyone who knew her.”
