ENFIELD, NY (607NewsNow) – The National Transportation Board (NTSB) has released a preliminary report on a fatal airplane crash that happened August 30 in Enfield.
NTSB officials inspected both the flight data and the aircraft itself.
The flight data was found to be consistent with the airplane performing low approaches or landings at multiple lakes during the flight. There was no fuel in the planes 40-gallon main tank or two 7-gallon auxiliary tanks and no fuel found at the crash site.
The rest of the aircraft appeared to be in working order, however, the auxiliary fuel lines from the fuselage to the main tank could not be tested due to damage. The collected evidence is inconclusive as to a cause for the crash, and the investigation is listed as ongoing.

The crash claimed the lives of 52-year-old David Kornreich, and 31-year-old Andrew Harrell. A GoFundMe campaign to support their families is still active.
