NYS DOT to inspect bridges near Cornell this week

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – You may notice activity in gorges near Cornell this week.

On November 17, State DOT engineers will begin inspecting several area bridges. The process requires the inspectors to rope climb the bridges.

They’ll be on Stewart Avenue over Fall Creek today and tomorrow, Stewart Avenue over Cascadilla Creek Wednesday, and Thurston Avenue over Fall Creek Thursday and Friday. Officials say some sidewalk closures are expected during the work.
