CORNING, NY (607NewsNow) – New York is trying to lure more visitors to a popular Southern Tier attraction.

The state is investing $400,000 in a marketing campaign for the Corning Museum of Glass (CMoG).

The money, intended to leverage the Steuben County staple’s 75th year in business, comes from the Regional Economic Development Council’s Tourism Working Capital program. The museum will celebrate its anniversary all year with new exhibitions and events, including the 75 Favorites Display, which opens on January 10.

You can learn more about what’s happening this year at CMoG here.

In related news, the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail is receiving a similar grant from the state to promote tourism to the area from the Philadelphia direct market area, which spans parts of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware, and boasts 6 million residents.
