Officials seek info about a dog bite in Ithaca

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – Health officials are seeking info about a dog bite in Ithaca.

The alleged incident happened on June 7 while two people were trying to break up a dog fight in the 600 block of Five Mile Drive around 2 p.m.

The biting dog is described as a black lab mix, roughly 40-50 pounds, with short legs. The dog owner presented as a white male, approximately 50 years old, with medium-length, curly black hair.

The Tompkins County Environmental Health Division is trying to rule out rabies exposure for the victim.
