One dead in Nichols crash

NICHOLS, NY (607NewsNow) — One person is dead after a crash in the Tioga County town of Nichols. 

State Police say a BMW with four people inside hit a deer shortly after midnight Saturday, Nov. 8 on Route 17. Minutes later a Suzuki crashed into the BMW, which was still slightly in the right lane.

The Suzuki sedan pushed the first car into two people, killing one at the scene. Two other people were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.  

Troopers are still conducting an investigation; names have not been released.
