One injured in Genoa building site fall

GENOA, NY (607NewsNow) – A man is recovering after suffering a fall in Cayuga County.

On January 6, the Genoa Volunteer Fire Department responded to a building site accident in the 300 block of Route 34 around 9:15 a.m.

Arriving firefighters say the man fell approximately 30 to 35 feet, and they immediately began patient care. The victim was airlifted to a hospital for treatment, and units were clear of the scene in about 90 minutes.

Genoa FD received assistance at the scene from the King Ferry Fire Department, Southern Cayuga Instant Aid, LifeNet of New York, the New York State Police, and the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office.
