Over 10 million Nexgrill wire BBQ brushes recalled

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – A barbecue accessory sold at Home Depot is being recalled.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the bristles on a variety of Nexgrill wire brushes can break, posing an ingestion and injury hazard. It follows a recall last month from Weber for the same issues with some of its own wire brushes.

The recall applies to models with black plastic or wooden handles measuring between 18 and 21 inches. The word Nexgrill appears on each model, and the model numbers can be found on the product packaging. Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled brushes and contact Nexgrill for a full refund in the form of a gift card.

There have been 5 injuries associated with the product defect, and 68 reports of bristles detaching. Look below to see models included in the recall.
