Owego man accused of stealing from Open Door Mission

OWEGO, NY (607NewsNow) – A five-month investigation in the Village of Owego has ended in an arrest.

Anthony Collins, of Owego, is accused of breaking into the Tioga County Open Door Mission in February and stealing items.

The 39-year-old was taken into custody last week and charged with felony burglary and felony grand larceny. He was arraigned and released to appear in court at a later date.

Collins was also charged with misdemeanor petit larceny in a separate investigation involving shoplifting at the Open Door Mission.
