Owego Police locate vehicle that allegedly damaged light pole

OWEGO, NY (607NewsNow) — Authorities in Owego are thanking the community.

The Owego Police Department (OPD) said a black SUV hit a light pole on the Court Street Bridge on Nov. 23. Authorities said the vehicle sustained damage to its front bumper and passenger side.

On Facebook, OPD asked the community for help locating the vehicle. In an update, police said the vehicle has been found.

“We appreciate the community’s help,” OPD said on Facebook. “The person involved will be held responsible for numerous charges as well as repairing Village of Owego property.”
