OWEGO, NY (607NewsNow) — Lawmakers in the Village of Owego will talk more about chickens tonight.

Legislation is under consideration involving the regulation of domestic hens and roosters. The Board of Trustees held a public hearing on the matter on Dec. 1.

“This is not the first time that we’ve talked about a chicken law,” Trustee Fran VanHousen said. “We first started talking about it two or three years ago.”

Tonight’s meeting begins at 7 p.m. at 22 Elm Street in Owego.
