(607NewsNow) — Our pets of the week start with Mousse (Top L) and Trigger (Top R) from CNY Snap.

Mousse is a bit skittish, having come from a group of cats rescued in February 2025. With the right home and a patient person, he could learn to feel safe and come out of his shell a bit more. Mousse has been neutered, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and is microchipped and up to date on vaccines.

Trigger came in as a stray and has gotten more sociable after being in foster care, occasionally jumping up into people’s laps. She hasn’t yet been spayed, but is on a list and will hopefully be getting it done soon.

Next, we have Darryl (Top L) and Smoke (Top R) from the Cortland County SPCA. Darryl is a gentle giant who is quite timid because of his past. He responds well to calmness and patience and would benefit from someone who is willing to earn his trust. He is a sweet and gentle boy with lots of love to offer.

Smoke may seem shy, but is actually quite outgoing and friendly when he’s approached. He was brought to the shelter with his brother Harley, who is about 4 years old. Harley is the more cautious and introverted one of the pair but can still be pet when approached calmly. Though not a requirement, it would be beneficial for them to be adopted together.
