Police arrest 3 after child welfare check in Virgil

VIRGIL, NY (607NewsNow) – Three people are facing charges following a welfare check in Virgil.

On July 8, members of the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to Route 392, where investigators say two people physically abused children under the age of 17.

On July 13, 41-year-old Jessica House was arrested and charged with felony assault and seven misdemeanors, including two counts of criminal possession of a weapon. The following day, deputies arrested 42-year-old Blaire Foster, who is charged with felony assault and four misdemeanors, including unlawful imprisonment.

Charles House, 45, is also charged with 3 counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

The Houses were issued appearance tickets and released. Foster was held in Cortland County Jail on $2,000 cash bail. All three are scheduled to appear in Virgil Town Court on July 28.
