Register by Friday to vote in upcoming Tompkins County village elections

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – March 6 is the last day to register for the upcoming village elections in Tompkins County.

Several races will be settled later this month in the Village of Cayuga Heights, Dryden, Freeville, Groton, and Trumansburg.

Cayuga Heights residents will be voting for mayor and three trustees. In Freeville and Trumansburg, voters will decide on the mayor and two trustees. On the ballot in Dryden and Groton are two trustee positions. Election Day is March 18.

From March 7 onward, you can visit Vote411.org to learn more about candidates. Vote411 is a national, non-partisan resource started in 2006 and supported by the League of Women Voters’ Education Fund. You can also get more information at the Tompkins County Board of Elections website.

The Village of Lansing elections will be held on April 28. According to the League of Women Voters of Tompkins County, the Vote411 voting guide will be available by April 18 at the latest.
