Reported disturbance leads to gun charges for two in Taylor

TAYLOR, NY (607NewsNow) – Two people are facing weapons charges in Cortland County.

On August 30, deputies responded to a reported disturbance around 11:15 a.m. at a home in Taylor, where 21-year-old Brenden Strobeck, homeless, was allegedly found with multiple loaded guns.

Additionally, authorities say Strobeck had a gun with the serial number scratched off. Strobeck is charged with four counts of felony criminal possession of a weapon, three counts of criminal use of a firearm, and misdemeanor criminal mischief.

He was remanded to Cortland County Jail on $7,500 cash bail. Strobeck is scheduled to appear in Town of Taylor Court on September 17.

Another man at the scene, 43-year-old Joshua Aldrich, was charged with misdemeanor criminal possession of a weapon for having a pistol without a permit. He was issued an appearance ticket with the same scheduled court date.
