Ricky Joy candy recalled for choking hazard

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – A candy product sold nationwide is being recalled.

According to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, the rolling ball on Ricky Joy Sour Crush Liquid Candy Bottles can detach, posing a choking hazard.

Affected flavors include blue raspberry, strawberry, watermelon, and green apple. They were sold individually, in 3-packs, and 12-packs. About 2.3 million were distributed in stores and online from January 2023 through May of this year.

Consumers are advised to immediately discontinue use and contact the Ricky Joy Company at (404) 975-0352 for a refund. More information is available here.
