Riley to introduce bill banning foreign companies from owning local utility companies

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — Rising utility costs is still a concern across New York. 

In an exclusive interview Monday, Sept. 15 on Ithaca’s Morning News, Rep. Josh Riley told 607 News Now he plans to introduce new legislation this week.

Riley tells us there’s precedence for this legislation.

Riley, who represents the 19th Congressional district, says a Spanish company owns NYSEG while National Grid is owned by a British company.
