Rising insurance, retirement costs are concerning to Cortland mayor

CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) — Expenses are rising in Cortland. 

Mayor Scott Steve says putting together the 2026 budget is harder than previous years. 

Steve adds another increase is retirement packages. 

The mayor will present a budget draft to the Common Council later this month.
