Schuyler County distributing sandbags amid shoreline erosion, flood fears

WATKINS GLEN, NY (607NewsNow) – Schuyler County is concerned with rising water levels in Seneca Lake.

In the wake of recent heavy rainfall, Schuyler County Emergency Management is making sandbags available to help combat shoreline erosion and flooding.

Residents are asked to take only what they need, as supplies are limited.

The sandbags can be picked up at the Schuyler County Highway Department in Watkins Glen and at the Hector Fire Department.
