Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office: Missing woman located safe

UPDATE 10/24 @ 1 P.M. – According to the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office, Kemp has been located and is safe. 

WATKINS GLEN, NY (607NewsNow) – The Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help.

On October 22, the Sheriff’s Office was alerted to a “possible missing person” in the county.

The 36-year-old was last seen in the Village of Watkins Glen on October 13. Authorities received a tip that Stephanie Kemp may be in Hector National Forest.

On October 23, the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office, Forest Rangers, Amigo K-9, and Laurel Mountain K-9 Search and Rescue conducted a 13-hour search but turned up no evidence that Kemp was in that area.
