ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — The Ithaca Police Department is still being called to Asteri Ithaca.

Friday, Aug. 8 on Ithaca’s Morning News, Police Chief Tom Kelly said the Vecino Group, which operates the building on East Green Street, failed to deliver on promises of security.

Kelly says after a rocky start, security has increased.

The building opened last summer, which was lauded at the time as ‘transformative’ for the city.
