CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) – A Cortland business is being recognized at the state level.

On November 1, Senator Lea Webb visited Cortland to present Splat Sumthin’ Paint Room with the New York State Senate Empire Award.

One of the state’s highest honors, it recognizes small businesses for their contribution and impact on their local communities. Webb highlighted the business’s creativity, entrepreneurship, and commitment to community, calling Splat Sumthin’ a place where families, students, and residents connect through joy and expression.

Owners Steve and Goldie Williams opened the abstract paint studio on Central Avenue in the summer of 2024.
