CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) — The child care center at SUNY Cortland is closing.

In a brief statement online, the school says the Child Care Center has voted to dissolve. The decision to permanently close comes after the arrests in April of three staff members and a fourth in May for alleged use of corporal punishment.

The New York State Office of Children and Family Services voted to revoke their license to operate shortly after the arrests.

Earlier this month, parents of a 2-year-old who was allegedly abused filed a $10 million lawsuit against New York state
