SUNY Cortland men’s lacrosse has record-setting day

CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) — The SUNY Cortland men’s lacrosse team scored goal after goal Wednesday.

The Red Dragons destroyed Plattsburgh 36-3 in the SUNYAC semifinals. According to SUNY Cortland Athletics, the performance set a program record for goals scored in a single game.

Cortland senior Nick Stoecker tallied six goals in the victory. He also led the team with three assists.

The Red Dragons will face Oneonta in the SUNYAC finals. The game starts at 1 p.m. Saturday in Cortland.
