OWEGO, NY (607NewsNow) – An Owego man is accused of stealing from a car wash in Pennsylvania.

According to Athens Township Police, 22-year-old Craig Wallace and a 17-year-old juvenile took more than $30,000 worth of electric blower motors from Twin Tiers Car Wash on April 9.

The pair scrapped the motors at RAZ Recycling in Owego. The Morning Times reports the juvenile, who lives in Barton, told authorities they thought the motors were being thrown out due to their proximity to a dumpster.

An arrest warrant for felony retail theft was issued for Wallace on April 23.
