Tioga County seeks candidate for vacancy in legislative position

OWEGO, NY (607NewsNow) – Tioga County seeks to fill a vacancy on the legislature.

Officials are looking for someone to serve as District 3’s legislator for 2026.

The third district represents the south side of the Susquehanna River in the Town of Owego. The successful candidate will serve a one-year term and must participate in the election process if they wish to continue. The appointment begins January 1.

Interested candidates should submit a resume to the Tioga County Clerk’s Office by email at haskellc@tiogacountyny.gov by December 4. They can also be submitted in person at the Ronald E. Doughtery County Office Building at 56 Main Street in Owego.
