Tompkins County activates Code Blue protocols for October 31

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – Temperatures are expected to dip below freezing this Halloween.

Tompkins County is activating Code Blue protocols for tonight, October 31.

If you or someone you know needs shelter, visit the Department of Social Services at 320 West State Street in Ithaca until 4:30 p.m. or call DSS Emergency Housing Services at (607) 274-5030. After business hours (and on weekends), call non-emergency dispatch at (607) 272-2444 to be connected to DSS on-call services.

The county expects overnight temperatures on Saturday, November 1, and Sunday, November 2, to be above freezing, and therefore Code Blue will not be activated.
