Tompkins County hopes to see revenue growth in ’26

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — Tompkins County is banking on a bigger sales tax collection in 2026 than what the county has seen this year. 

County administrator Korsah Akumfi tells 607 News Now he sees the potential for growth in the coming year.

Numbers in 2025 are flat. 

Overall, Akumfi says he’s optimistic about the county’s finances.
