UPDATE: The Human Services Building will reopen for normal operating hours on Thursday, July 16.

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – The Tompkins County Human Services Building in Ithaca is closed.

The building is closed for the remainder of the day, July 15, due to an ongoing law enforcement matter.

Clients and visitors should not visit the building this afternoon. Departments within the building are working to provide services to the extent possible.

Anyone in need of assistance from DSS, Probation, Parole, or Youth Services should contact the department they’re trying to reach by email.  Contact information is available on the county’s website.

Tompkins County Communications Director Monika Salvage says more information will be provided when appropriate.
