ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – Tompkins County is touting a revamped recreational website.

Officials say IthacaTrails.org has been fully redesigned and now offers an experience that is optimized for mobile users.

The interactive website features helpful information about the county’s 75 trails. Officials say the relaunch will help promote outdoor recreation and support the local tourism economy.

“We’re thrilled to offer this comprehensive resource that truly reflects the incredible diversity of outdoor opportunities in our region,” said Tompkins County Tourism Program Director Nick Helmholdt. “The new website makes it simple for both residents and visitors to discover trails that match their interests, abilities, and available time.”

The new site’s filtering system allows users to easily find what kind of experience they’re looking for, including difficulty level. It also features real-time trail condition updates, and comprehensive profiles of each trail with maps, photos, and detailed descriptions.
