ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – A Tompkins County department is looking for volunteers.

The Office for the Aging (COFA) has several advisory board vacancies and is particularly interested in representation in Enfield, Ulysses, Dryden, and Caroline.

Members review and comment on policies, programs, and actions that affect the interests of older adults in their communities. Officials say the advisory board serves as “a key link between the community and Office for the Aging in communicating the needs and concerns of older residents” in the community.

If selected, you would be required to attend monthly meetings in person or via Zoom, participate in at least one subcommittee, and assist COFA in promoting public awareness of aging issues, programs, and services.

You can learn more about the board here.

Interested? Call (607) 274-5485.
