Tractor-trailer a total loss in Freeville fire

FREEVILLE, NY (607NewsNow) – No injuries were reported in a vehicle fire.

On July 27, the Freeville Fire Department was dispatched to Peruville Road around 11 a.m. for a report of a tractor-trailer on fire.

En route, Chief Michael Parker could see smoke from a few miles out and requested mutual aid from the Lansing and McLean Fire Departments. Crews remained on scene for about three hours.

A DEC spill response team was called in for gas and oil on the road. The truck was a total loss.
