Traffic stop leads to drug charge for Ithaca man

BARTON, NY (607NewsNow) – An Ithaca man is facing a drug charge in Tioga County.

On August 4, deputies initiated a traffic stop on Route 17-C in Barton for vehicle and traffic law violations.

After an investigation and subsequent search, 45-year-old Robert Morton was allegedly found with methamphetamine. He is charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Morton is scheduled to appear in Barton Town Court at a later date.
