Traffic stop leads to multiple charges in Cortlandville

CORTLANDVILLE, NY (607NewsNow) – A Cayuga County man faces multiple charges after a traffic stop in Cortland County.

On February 13, Mathew Stone, of Sempronius, was pulled over on Route 11 in Cortlandville for allegedly failing to use a turning signal.

Deputies say the 41-year-old Cayuga County man was driving while impaired by drugs, in possession of drugs, and his license was revoked.

Stone is charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance, felony aggravated unlicensed operator, and three misdemeanors. He was taken to Cortland County Jail without bail.

Stone is scheduled to appear in Cortlandville Town Court on February 23.
