Trespassing warrant leads to felony drug charge in Cortland


CORTLAND, NY (CortacaToday) – A Cortland man awaits his day in court.

Cortland Police arrested 52-year-old Terry Maricle on Thursday, August 29, 2024, for an outstanding trespassing warrant. Officers say they found “a significant quantity” of methamphetamine on Maricle when they were taking him into custody. He now faces a felony for criminal possession of a controlled substance in addition to the trespassing charge.

Maricle is being held in Cortland County Jail without bail until his September 18, 2024, appearance in Cortland City Court.
