DANSVILLE, NY (607NewsNow) — State Police are charging a 21-year-old in Steuben County with arson.

Troopers responded to reports Monday night of loud yelling and a welfare check in the town of Dansville. When they arrived, troopers say they saw an active fire and heavy smoke inside the trailer. They found Jayden Cain in a shed on the property, who reportedly admitted to intentionally setting the home on fire after an argument earlier that day.

Cain is charged with felony arson and misdemeanor criminal mischief.
