TRUMANSBURG, NY (607NewsNow) – A Trumansburg man is facing a felony after an investigation in Schuyler County.

In December 2025, State Police in Montour Falls received a report of inappropriate online communications between an adult male and a juvenile female.

Franklin Zanker, 27, is accused of having sexually explicit video and audio interactions with the minor via social media platforms. Authorities conducted a forensic interview with the child, and say evidence obtained supported that Zanker knew her age.

Zanker was arrested and charged with disseminating indecent material to minors on January 15, following the execution of a search warrant at a residence on Voorheis Road in the Town of Hector. An order of protection was requested on behalf of the victim.

State Police are asking anyone who has had contact with Zanker or may have information relevant to the investigation to contact them at (585) 398-4100.
