LODI, NY (607NewsNow) – A fatal motor vehicle accident in Seneca County is under investigation.

On September 4, State Police responded to the Town of Lodi for a one-vehicle crash just before 7 p.m. on Townsendville Road.

Troopers say a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze was traveling south when it went off the roadway and struck a tree on the east shoulder. The impact sent the vehicle airborne before it came to rest off the west shoulder.

The victim, identified as 53-year-old Tanya Mayo of Trumansburg, was pronounced dead at the scene.
